Artists

TJ Dawe • Blueberries Are Assholes

The Fringe legend’s latest work gives his storytelling muscles a rest to try something new: an hour of jokes and observations, riffing on food, the English language, the human body and the tremendous overall weirdness or the world we overlook every day.

Nicolle Nattrass • Suddenly 50!

This award-winning playwright and performer tackles aging parents, reading glasses, and being automatically given a senior’s discount. WTF? Or maybe it’s when you finally feel like you fit in your own skin.

Paul Tedeschini • Tripping Across the Finish Line

This immersive audio experience takes the notion of the Speakeasy and turns it on its ear, literally. Enjoy this Listen-easy and find yourself immersed in oceans of art, achievement, anxiety and letting go.

Lindsay Robertson • Musician. Singer. Songwriter

Her new work evokes The Heart of Saturday Night-era Waits, Patsy Cline, Neko Case and indie darlings Hurray for the Riff Raff.

Zaynab Wilson • Musician. Singer. Songwriter

A Montréal-born multi-instrumentalist with the spirit of a traveller, anchors to the rhythm, melody, and matters of the psyche while exploring the depths of her story. Her metaphors of connectedness are transmuted into songs that "quietens your spirit". She sculpts these soundscapes from the intrinsic Afro-Caribbean rhythms developed in her childhood performance years along with the heart-driven, improvisational song styles of Jazz and Soul music.

Brendan Bailey • Sawney’s Legacy

This meticulously researched historical drama celebrates the life and work of BC’s first poet of note, James Anderson.

Patrick Courtin • Courtin vs Keaton

Come see three classic Buster Keaton silent shorts, they way they were meant to be heard, with live accompaniment by musician, arranger, and composer Patrick Courtin.

Ryan Schmitt • Postdiluvian

By turns absurd, introspective, harrowing and hilarious, this brand-new play takes a look at what it means to not die on a crumbling planet.

Madeline Tasquin • Singer. Songwriter.

This artist weaves intimate observations with soul-stirring songs that summon sounds of sanctuary with articulate and folky chamber pop.
