Spring s'Wells • Break the Ice

Spring is in the air, and we are thrilled to be working with Island Mountain Arts and SARRAS to present this really wonderful multi venue event on Saturday, April 9th, 2022! Doors Open @ 6:30PM at the Sunset. Event begins promptly at 7PM. See below for Ticket info!

This is from IMA:

April is an odd time in Wells. You can’t deny that there’s still snow on the ground, but the great melt has surely begun. The willows in the meadow, with their persistent fuzzy blossoms, remind you that change is the only constant we truly know in life.

We hope you’ll join Island Mountain Arts, the Sunset Theatre and SARRAS (located in the former ‘The Amazing Space’ Gallery) on Saturday April 9th in a night full of music that is dedicated to this breaking of the ice. Spring s’Wells: Break the Ice, sees the audience split into groups, moving between three venues, on separate adventures, making up one evening of supporting deep lyrical beauty from friends old and new. Feel some freshness, warm your heart and get groovy with us!

For this event, patrons will move between 3 performance venues, taking in the fresh air of the night in between each of the sets. If mobility is a concern, please get in contact with Elyssia Sasaki (info@imarts.com).

THE ARTISTS

Elise Boulanger is a sweet darkness wrapped in orchestral instrumentation. Hailing from the West Coast of Canada on Snuneymuxw territory, this Chamber-Folk-Pop artist completely captivates audiences with her haunting avalanche of a voice. Boulanger is a bilingual multi-instrumentalist and environmental advocate that creates cinematic dreamscapes. Imagine ethereal vocals soaring a top cello, violin, piano, drums and ukulele. Her lyrics are poetic, evocative and questioning. https://www.eliseboulanger.com

Richard Garvey is a guitar-strumming, banjo-plucking, and sing-along-starting performer and community organizer. His award winning songs explore the highs and lows of love, injustice, and the marbled mess of the human condition. Whether he’s playing to a living room or an amphitheatre, Richard brings clever songs and a sly sense of humour to inspire solidarity, hope, and change. When you’re looking for the latest incarnation of world-changing, foot-stomping, and heart-filling folk music, see Richard Garvey. http://www.richardgarvey.ca

Simbeyez Wilson is a Wetsuweten woman that enjoys sharing her passion of music in a variety of forms. Her genre is difficult to define, but consists of singer songwriter with a new taste of electronic lofi. She has played in various festivals and coffeehouses, and hopes listeners will enjoy her indent on the world through her unique vision of music. https://surkeusrecords.bandcamp.com/album/warrior
