Each year, the Sunset Theatre supports Canadian Artists in their quest to create new work. Thanks to the generosity of the BC Arts Council, this annual series enables us to support artists by providing a space and place to create their new play.
Join us Friday, July 23 @ 8PM for the 1st public reading of Brendan Bailey’s new play, Sawney’s Legacy.
Synopsis: An Edwardian doctor explores the legacy his father, poet James Anderson, left in a far away mining camp in a far away place called Cariboo.
Brendan was originally part of our 2020 Exploration Series with this play, but everything had to be postponed due to covid19. We are really glad to be able to host this reading and Q&A over 1 year after the originally planned reading date.
Tickets: By Donation
Doors open at 7:30PM. Play reading starts at 8PM until 9PM - followed by a quick break and then a Question and Answer session.
